What makes a good Cigar Lounge?
CHOOSE THE LOCATION OF YOUR CIGAR LOUNGE
The first step is to figure out the location of your smoking room. There are advantages and disadvantages to locating your smoking room. A room with an exterior wall is more easily ventilated. If you need the room to be isolated, the basement is a suitable option. Take in mind that the basement will cost more to circulate.
Other possibilities include a converted office or bedroom.

CHOOSE A VENTILATION METHOD
The most important aspect of the procedure will be ventilation. You have a few alternatives on what to do. To begin, open a window and allow fresh air to flow around the space. Installing an exhaust fan in the room is a more practical alternative. The exhaust fan will be linked to your current ventilation system. The fan, much like in the kitchen or bathroom, draws the smoke out of the room and pushes it outside through an exit vent. At the same time, this is appropriate for small places with only a few smokers.
The more smokers there are in a room, the greater the ventilation. The quantity of cubic feet of air moved per minute by exhaust fans is measured (CFM). Thus, a fan with a CFM rating of roughly 200 for a single smoker and around 1000 for four or five smokers is required for a 10 x 10 x 8 space. Check that the fan is vented outdoors.
An air purifier is another alternative that you may use instead of or in addition to an exhaust fan. Most air purifier types are self-contained, allowing you to move them from room to room. A high-quality air purifier costs only a few hundred dollars and maintains a smoky room free of smells and smoke. Carbon filters, such as charcoal, are used in air purifiers to absorb smoke and purify the air. Air purifiers will be used in addition to typical HVAC systems in high-end cigar lounges.
The most expensive alternative is to install a separate HVAC unit with ventilation in the smoke chamber. This separate device necessitates the installation of a new HVAC unit, ductwork, and an exit vent, but it is the only definite option to keep your house smoke-free.
FURNITURE AND ACCESSORIES FOR THE SMOKING ROOM
The tricky part is selecting the proper furnishings and accessories. Anything you put in your smoke room might have an impact on how effectively it works. Your objective should be to maintain the room as smoke-free as possible so that the rest of the home is not affected.
Begin with the floor. Carpet and softer materials will hold smoke for a long time and be difficult to remove. Stone or wood flooring is a better option, and they create a nicer smoke room atmosphere if that’s what you’re trying for.
On the walls, wood paneling, primarily Spanish cedar, is an excellent choice, but any firm or non-porous material would do.
The most important thing to avoid is any surfaces that have retained cigar smoke. Any shelves in the space should be made of wood, metal, or glass.
The same criteria apply when selecting furnishings. Plush textiles are inappropriate for your cigar room. If you want to put sofas and chairs in your smoking area, go with leather. Leather does not retain cigar smoke as long and is much easier to clean. We’re talking about a place that will be used frequently, so getting the furnishings correct is critical. Dark colors are often used since they help to hide stains while providing a cigar lounge atmosphere.

The final step is to decorate the space as desired. Go ahead and hold a poker and cigar night in your smoke room. Except from fine-tuning it for your cigars, your smoking room is all your own. The final touches to your smoking room will be determined by your personal preferences.
Arguably the most important part of a gentleman’s cigar lounge is the humidor; SIMworks can offer custom made bespoke humidors that will include temperature and humidity control to keep your prized Cigars in an optimal storage environment We can also source and install premade humidors depending on your cigar collection and room size.
